on a sunday...

i woke up as usual around five. [can't seem to break that early morning habit after seven years of it from work.]

i went to publix around seven and bought toaster strudels, lasagna, chips, green olives, feta cheese, and clausan pickles.

came home, ate some pickles, went to my room.

sifted through random sopranos season six episodes, the ones i really enjoyed above the rest, and went onto season three of smallville.

around ten or eleven, i got a bug up my ass and decided, it's time to overhall clean the garage.

i took everything out, swept it completely, mopped it, re-arranged all of my tools and chemicals, threw away a ton of shit that was collecting major space, and then, fixed up my bike, and went for a ride.

came back twenty minutes later, cleaned the house a little, took a shower, layed down with the dog, and watched more smallville.

and that's my day thus far as of 8:42 p.m. i'm getting old, and sad. it just hit me that i will be turning twenty seven in a week and a half. i knew it was coming up, but it didn't seem so soon.

time flys as you get older. and all i look forward to in life, is going to work, earning an honest pay from it, coming home to hang out with my dog, play videogames, have a few beers, and watch tv shows on either my computer or dvd. i have no other goals in life, and for some sad reason... that's comforting... and i haven't had sex since january and today i thought, "i'm okay with that."

it's funny how the stupid shit that mattered to me the most seven years ago is close to meaningless now. yesterday was the first day i masturbated in probably a month. i don't even have the urge to do that anymore. and yet, when i'm around people, that kinda shit is all i talk about... strange...

as easy as retarded comes?

this guy who was at an advance showing of the first two new episodes of the final nine episodes of the sopranos, wrote a huge review of both episodes and had it put up on aintitcoolnews.com... not i told myself, don't spoil it, you got two weeks left, but, just read the top few lines as a sign of good faith?

...i just read TWO, only TWO sentences of the top of the review, and in those two sentences, hard as it may be to believe, spoiled it for myself. it did a flashback to season five that i didn't even think could be twisted the way they did, and i immediatley, with only my dog in hearing range, yelled, "OH FUCK ME! FUCK!" for two reasons.

one, because i spoiled a part of the show for myself.

and two, because what they did with that season five sequence... was pure genius. i cannot wait until april 8th. come sunday the 8th, i will be at cigar bar, sipping my glass of jack on ice, smoking a blondie cigar, and pretending i'm italiano vinnie sausage pizza head...

movies and love.

there are two films i've seen so far in 2007, that have both captured the spot of numeral uno for my favorite flicks this year...

i already wrote about, "black snake moan," and i'll write about, "reign over me," when i get more time, but in the truest form of anything i can say, these two films are simply put, nothing short of great. soundtracks are stellar. blues on one, the who on the other...

see them before i see you... in hell.

the eyes have hills.

my agenda for last night was to see a movie. preferrably, "reign over me," with adam sandler and don cheadel. which i guess i will see tonight, because i've been looking forward to that film since the time of it's trailer viewing.

so, instead, i saw, "the hills have eyes 2." which was good for reasons explained below, but also, i saw the trailer for the follow up to, "28 days later."

"28 weeks later," looks very promising as far as a conclusion for a film i thought was perfect as is...

despite my better efforts to stay with the theme of current to current, i like the original hills have eyes 2 promo flats and images compared the just released, redux.

though... i like the new, "hills have eyes 2," a lot more than the original version. weird... and, i think this version, was better than it's previous remake from two years ago. seriously.

i hate admitting that i like sequels, and i hate even more that i like remakes, but hills have eyes was a better film that the original. i've seen the originals, both, and they were good for their time, and didn't have greg nicotero effects to rely on, but rather b-acting, dark lit scenes, and creepy music.

i enjoy a horror film that has not only a decent story that is well acted, but i like to buy what's going on visually. i like gore. and, the last two hills movies of the 2000's deliever.

yes... i loved the updated version of, "hills have eyes 2." and i loved the remake two years ago. a lot. and it's new sequel is... better on so many levels of not just a cool way to keep the story in the structure of continuity, but to develope the fact that the desert where the government tested nuc's way back when, was close to the size of long island. imagine the limitless amount of hill dwellers... see what i'm saying? not everyone left when the tests began... lots of ground to cover.

through text, we get caught up at the beginning, and bid farewell towards the end with loose ends left open, but again, i really got into the flick. if you liked the first remake, you'll love this one more.

tidbit about HHE2 REMAKE: "Wes Craven, who created the characters and films in the seventies, co-wrote the script to the remake of 2... and i thought he was done with the nasty boo-boo gore stuff and strictly a kevin williamson wb assclown..."

audio blog still below, POC 3, and no more emma watson.

the audio blog is still up, see previous post.

tonight, yahoo releases the tight lipped trailer for, "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End."

personally, i could give two shits. i enjoyed the first flick immensley, and was utterly disappointed with it's follow up, all jack movie adventure. it felt like, "matrix reloaded," all over again... or... *shutter*, "attack of the clones."

but, if you want, you can view it here.

emma watson dropped out of the last two harry potter films. millions of dry vagina reading women the world over try to slit their wrists with the pages of the books.

i just finished season four of, "that 70's show." not my favorite season, but a good cliffhanger finale.

i'm tired. g'dnight.

an audio blurb and other cool snafu's...

so, a while back, i had this jones to do podcasts... i jumped on the, "pump up the volume," bandwagon of the 2000's, and went out, bought a mic, downloaded the software, and began recording two hour sessions with mike musser, and david cintron.

sadly, my inept, and lazy attitude prevented me from going through and editing out all the laughs, mic feedbacks, and other various shit that didn't sound good. time was a big issue. editing a two hour audio file to make available for download and ipod use is time consuming and repetitive.

however, since i've really gotten proud of myself, and into what dust and snow is shaping up to be, i decided to take the sessions we did, and re-listen to them, and take excerpts here and there out, and share them with you all.

another issue i had was paying for online storage of the files, but since i found a site to host up to a gig for free, the boat is as smooth as gravy. you can either play the file streaming online, or download the mp3 for later, fantastic fun use...

the first bit up, and i'll be posting these randomly here and there, is from the second session we did, where david cintron was talking about his trips to new york, and one real quick bit about meeting jeff goldblum.

also, i'm gonna be doing a new feature called:

"I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT WAS AN ACTUAL LINE OF DIALOGUE IN A MOVIE/TV SHOW."

it speaks for itself. i got the idea when i was thinking about an absurd, albeit, chucklefull line from the movie, "waiting."...

"yep... nothing brings out the flavor of a good steak like some ketchup..."

or more recently, the badly delivered line from, "dead silence."

"look, where i come from, a ventriloquit dummy is a bad omen... trust me."

also, i hope to get mike musser over to the studio soon to record a new podcast, in gearing up for his wedding. it will be love themed, with sage francis' version of, "white wedding," in the background, as well as non-stop hilarity and sharing of our past relationships with the opposite sexes...

keep your eyes and ears glued now... over the next few weeks, shits about to get crazy on dust and snow...

"have another one you fuckin' lush... it ain't my fault the bartender kicked you out last night, you fuckin' douchebag!"

went to see, "dead silence," last night at the new muvico theaters at coconut point. it was okay. not, "saw," good, but good... jigsaw makes a cameo... the make-up effects were pretty decent.

coconut point mall/plaza?, is like the richest man in southwest florida came by, saw some empty land, let loose his belt, dropped trou', and shot a load of rich cum all over and it formed into a gigantic outside mall.

it's nice, but too many rich assholes around...

i did hit the new gamestop over there to do a little looky-looin', and found something i had been missing from the ol' dvd collection... season four of, "that 70's show."

i traded in dvds i had left in the car to get it... now i can watch that and the season five set i bought but never watched due to continuity constraints.

season three so far of smallville is different. i don't know if it's good or bad... it started off strong, but now went back to being like scooby doo... "come on chloey, gotta solve this sniper mystery..." i have hope though.

caspian's new album, "the four trees," leaked, still amazes me every time i listen to it.

spent too much on groceries today i think. i figured out how i know i'm getting old... when i start cutting out coupons on deals and look forward to go grocery shopping for deals like i have been the past few weeks... i did get a spiral cut honey ham for sixteen bucks... that'll make a lot of sandwhiches when i cook it...

south park this season is going strong, two for two... cartman put butters' penis in his mouth as a gag to show butters' is gay? too funny...

i'm bored and craving an apple, and some pineapple chunks... later masterbaters...

xbox live arcade, and why i love it.

teenage. mutant. ninja. turtles.

aside from the year of batman, '88 was also special for the turtles... the comics, cartoon, toys, movie, etc... it was bats and ninja reptiles... woo-hoo!

so, imagine the giddy suprise, when on xbox live arcade, i found, and downloaded, "teenage mutant ninja turtles: the arcade game."

for most too young to remember, this was an arcade game first, and then ported over to the NES as the dubbed, "sequel," to the original game of the same name, which was harder, and didn't have the flashy cartoon graphics the arcade version had...

i had forgotten how much fun i had playing this game. how at that point in time, i spent my summer at the trailer park my grandparents were staying at, playing nintendo with other kids on summer break.

i remember how much fun we all had joining up to defeat shredder, and the rest of his drone cronies... and how hard the game was...

well, time moves on, we grow older, and the true fun of the game remains the same... the only difference between then and now... it only took my twenty-three minutes to beat the game this time around... eat that one konami... the pupil is now the master.

oh yeah, by and by...

this got bumped from april 10 release, to april 3rd, the day after my 27 birthday... so... this is the only thing i want for my birthday... someone, please get this for me...

sleepness...

the past three days, i've come home from work, took a shower, crawled in bed, and passed out for a few hours... i've been beat a lot lately...

tonight, i passed out around five? woke up about an hour ago... eleven ten?

started downloading the new south park, watched some smallville, and got caught up through all 35 issues of, "the walking dead."

for shits and giggles, i downloaded, "Korn: Unplugged." out of morbid curiosity i suppose, although, admittedly, "issues," is an album i have as a guilty pleasure...

that being said, if you hated korn's loud, nu-metal music over the past few years, you'll guaranteed to hate them acoustic and unplugged... talk about a fucking joke.

i've always thought very low of davis, until i really heard this album, and freak on a leash came up, and then he said, "i'd like to bring up amy lee... thought this'd be a good song to do together..." freak on a leash??? he sang freak on a leash with the chick from, "evanescence?" are you kidding me? the sad part is people paid money to be at this show... where do we draw the line on killing mentally challenged people again?

before i go off to work, i just wanted to say...

the trailer. final episodes. april 8.

it's a rare thing for me to get anxious and giddy over a television show... but sopranos... it's the one thing i get excited for. i get butterflies waiting for april to see how it's all gonna end... and it's funny, because the reason i think i feel this way towards the show, is how emotionally involved i've become with the characters... it's sad to think it's gonna end, but satisfying as well...

watch the trailer for the premier above.

gwen stacey... please don't ever die...

that up there... that's bryce dallas howard... as gwen stacey...

i've wanted to lick every inch of her body since she was a blind chick in, "the village."

and now that she's playing my favored peter parker love interest, even more so...

how is it that kirsten dunst, the moon face maroon who can't act, and butchers the ferosity that is mary jane watson... how is it, that she's the been the fucking love interest in the films and comics, and not gwen stacey as the lead? because she died?

...yeah, well, superman died too at that hands of doomsday... guess what... jonathan kent helped him find his way back home... fuckers...

what i'm really trying to say, is i hate kirsten dunst, always have, and i love bryce dallas howard, always will... and i just woke up... so i'm groggy and odd?

the 40 year old goth.

began playing, "marvel: ultimate alliance," on the 360. it's good. better than x-men legends, and way better, sadly, than, "justice league: heroes."

it's a far fetched story line, but tight controls, strengthy graphics, and the funability scale of playing as the might thor... off the charts tits...

got a leaked copy of the new type o negative album...

i know... why the fuck would you listen to a black metal goth band? well... because i like them?...

i have an eclectic taste in a vast collection of music. i stopped discriminating a long time ago at stuff that was scoffed by the indi-douchers in this town, just because it wasn't their cup of whimsy... i've always just dug peter steele's voice, and the vibrantly, fedback guitars, and pulsing drums...

the new album is much like the others. i like it quite a bit. "september sun," is easily the best track on the album... it's a vibrant and calm song, and then just get's raw and heavy... i like that... and it's amped even more when you're a little high... yeah... i'm a little high... praise him, for he has risen. :)

i've decided, yes caddy dan, i will own a wii within two months time... i want to play that rabbit rayman game... it looks fucking nuts.

time to go and read comics and scoff at the goofy, stereotyped characters in smallville season two...

"i know the steak is cold, but it's wrapped in plastic..."

i think i'm gonna write a blog, and later in the day, or when i'm not so fucking tired, incorporate the images i have gather to garner said subjects i will be talking about...

this is gonna sounds funny or gross, or... both, but i just took a shit not too long ago, and i swear, it really did, smell like burnt peanuts... weird.

walmart... i had to go to walmart last night after the movie. it's the only place to get my soap and shampoo at cheap... having trudged through the store at ten at night, i felt that as i left the store, i should have been deloused.

how can a store like walmart, just seem to breed the term, "virus," so literally? even the air smells contaminated in that fucking store.

on one end of the spectrum, for an instance, let's say, the "toy" isle, there was a really, really, really, huge, fat girl, no more than eight or nine, sitting in a shopping cart, with a missing front tooth, gnawed up hair, and a red kool-aid stain around her mouth, directing very verbally, her equally hefty mother, who had more beard than i, which isles she wanted to go up and down... both wore pink, and both wore spandex like, sweatpants... it was unsettling, and gross. and following them immediatley, i saw a woman, not as big, but big, with a foppish looking mullet cut, salt and peppered, with a moustache, roaming through the bike isles...

i thought to myself, "only in america... and only in a fucking walmart..."

but on the very opposite side of the store, in the phantom zone if you will... was the beautiful women... the fucking knock-out, what the fuck are they doing here at this hour?, fucking hot spanish women, with tight jeans or white skirts showing the outline of their panties, and a tight shirt that showed the amazing round breasts hid behind a tight, exotic bra... never before had i wished i could be invisible so i could run to each of them, lick their necks like a schoolboy in heat, grab their tits real quick, and run out giggling. why did god make women so irresistable and hot?

300.

was good. really good. i really enjoyed the new, "venom/eddie brock," focused spiderman 3 trailer, although was looking forward to the rumored, "watchmen," trailer...

zach snyder and robert rodriguez impress me... they have proved that you can take an amazing comic, and breath the source material into life... it's amazing how frank millers images, from both, "sin city," and, "300," translated so perfect to screen... and it all really lays in the hands at the respective directors... that is all...

rue morgue.

the new issue is out with a tribute to, "phantasm." buy it like i did.

zach galifinankis: live at the purple onion.

i shouldn't spend any money i have on material shit, but to get this dvd for twelve bucks, and a load of laughs was worth it... zach is one of the most unique, and truly genius comedians i've ever seen work a room. buy this dvd if you haven't already... best buy has it... in fact, the girl who rung me up looked at the cover of the dvd and asked me to mimic him playing the piano to which i kinda did, to which she said:

"you know... you kinda look like him..."

to which i said:

"did you look at the cover? i mean really look at it?... the hair and beard i get, but that's it."

wedding crasher.

mikey and i went to get fitted for tuxes yesterday. i still have to write a sincere speach for the reception, being the best man, and my goal is to make people cry and prove to them that i can go without cursing... although... mikey and i thought it'd be funny if i gave a heartfelt speech, and ended with, "shitcockdamn... you guys have a good night..."

we ate at, "famous dave's." first time there, and our waitress was kind and pretty, and very funny, and the food was pretty good. the sauces, more or less all of them had a kick to them, but my belly felt good after filling up on a half a slab of ribs.

comics.

i got my comics for the past two weeks, so the universe is at one.

the nintendo wii.

i have made the decision, that within the next two months... i should buy a wii... rockstar is making, "manhunt 2," as a prequel for the system, as well as psp and ps2, and honestly, i would like to kill people with the wii remote... also, super mario galaxy looks kinda good...

and finally... SCREAMFEST 2007.

all info can be found here. i will be going on saturday only, and if anyone wishes to go, all you need do is let me know, get yourself a ticket, and help with gas unless we can take your car...

PHANTASM COMETH!

i was more than a little excited when reggie posted an update, that, for the first time in a long time, phantasm.com had been updated by don himself...

upon checking out to see the updates, i was marvelously treated to the best virtual handjob i could get from a filmmaker...

now... two things.

one, amazon actually lists them coming out the 10th, not the 20th. for fourteen bucks a pop.

two, i am saddened that part two and four are not being released as special editions... i think a boxset for the u.s. would be very much appreciated, but still, this is exciting for a phantasm nerd like myself.

see, phantasm, to my good friends, is a well known fact, that it's my all time favorite film series. i have all four movie posters framed and above my entertainment center in my living room, and photo i will post soon, along with an opened and unopened tall man figure, and sphere replica... i also ran the first phantasm fan website back in '96 when the net first got real big, "morningside cemetery."

i have interviewed everyone from the series except bill thornbury, and i've met angus scrimm, the tall man, in '99 at the fangoria weekend of horrors in orlando.

to see that part three, which has been out of print from any form of media, and never been released in america on dvd, is a fucking wish beyond wishes come true. it sat locked in unviersal studios legal hell.

i am more than a little excited right now. i'm fucking doing jumping jacks in my sleep adled mind... I LOVE PHANTASM!

Sunday, March 04, 2007

at six in the morning, on sunday, i write.

having just downloaded the new hear me now brother mix tape and episode of season two, i am ready to begin with the blogging.

so the thing i am looking forward to the most this year, is rob zombie's re-envisioning of, "halloween."

i think it has the potential to be something really unique and... for lack of a better term, good. rob's not a bad filmmaker. he makes the films he wants, and that's what making movies should be about when it comes down to it. make what you want, what you'll be proud of... and he's good with modern horror.

i'm eager to see malcom mcdowel as dr. loomis, and the rest of the cast just seems like a perfect zombie cast... william forsythe...? fuckENa.

out of morbid curiosity... whatever happened to that blue/purple haired dyke that always clung to anna nicole like a fucking retard?

"black snake moan," has a good amount of redemption, a piss poor performance from justin timberlake, enough christina ricci naked titties to keep my dick hard, and an overall good performance of everything from script to acting. i really dug this film, and it's accompanying blues soundtrack.

the first season of "smallville" i remember being really entertaining, and now that i'm trying to play catch up via dvd, i feel like i'm watching a more dramatic version of, "saved by the bell."

every episode consists more or less of some character being affected by fragments of the left over meteor that young clark laid down, and they become the episode enemy he has to overcome...

something i find interesting is that none of them use their abilities for good... rather than feel epic, they feel violent. the old, "i'll show them," attitude...

another fun fact, in a few episodes, there seems to be a running theme of, "the lost boys," movie poster, in various locales in smallville.

i do like the idea of lex luthor being a decent man in his youth. i like the tilt of destruction and finding his real destiny.

i don't like the campy dialogue that the wb seems to think teenagers speak in.

but, the reason i began the catch-up with the dvds is to see the introduction of, "martian manhunter." so... it evens itself out...

also...

thin lizzy still kicks ass after all the years.

things to come.

the past week has been a busy one.

too tired to write at this moment, but in the past week, i have chuckled at, "in memory of," bumperstickers, enjoyed the film, "black snake moan," bought, "tenacious d in the pick of destiny," and the two disc special edition of, "walk the line," got my fill of fair kettle corn, ate saginaki at greekfest, and got asked to be the best man in my best bud's wedding... my dog also got major love from the fort myers greek community... all in all, life's a pretty sweet fruit... i never thought i'd be in a wedding... i guess this little girl's dream's about to come true...

other forms of fun.

why not buy one of the many items i need, and give it to me for being awesome?...
